Hello "K" Girls !

"2015 Doeling Crop"

The "K" girls
The kidding season at High Meadows this year was a very difficult time. The does began to kid in mid February just as the snow began to fall and temperatures plunged. Two weeks of below zero nights and deep snows made for a real test of Kiko hardiness. The goat owners were tested as well. Those cold cruel days are mostly forgotten now as the strong and healthy doelings come running through the tall grass.

The doelings are all different colors and are growing very well. Recently separated from their dams they are forming their own little herd. Pecking order is being worked out as they explore their new pasture. Large guard dog 'Sparky" is ever watchful and seems to really enjoy the baby girls. He is very dignified but does enjoy an occasional brushing.
